A huge congratulations to the tennis team for capturing the bi-district championship over West Oso yesterday evening. Everyone played lights out!!! Next up will be the area championship. C'mon tennis...keep it going.

Seniors—to celebrate your last home game of the regular season as a CHS student, the student council would like to invite you to Bayfront peninsula for Senior Sunrise on Friday,  November 6th at around 6:30 am. You will have a chance to watch the sun rise together as a class before heading to school to join your last home game Spirit March of the season. Masks and social distancing will be required

Picture Day for 9th through 11th grade is this Friday, October 30th.  Make sure you dress "Picture Perfect".   If you need a picture order form you can get it from your social studies teacher, The front office or the yearbook room S110. Bring the order form along with your money on Friday to give to the life touch photographers.

There will be a Speech and Debate meeting in Mrs. Wespesser's room (A119) tomorrow at 3:30. Attendance is mandatory, and from this point on, all meetings will be held on Wednesday afternoons at 3:30 unless otherwise specified. Wear a mask, and please remember social distancing. 

The UIL Poetry & Prose participants will meet with Mrs. Reininger in room E403 today at 3:30pm for a short meeting.

Sandies Volleyball will be playing their playoff game October 29th at 6 pm vs. Sweeny in Palacios.  Good luck ladies!

 There are still numerous students who have not turned in their first day registration paperwork.  It is vitally important that we get this paperwork for medical, parent pick up, etc.  If you have lost your packet, please come by and see Mrs. McCarthy-Vesely to pick up new forms.  It is imperative that you do this so that you do not get detention.

This week is Red Ribbon Week and here are the themes for the week:  Wednesday-Team up against drugs-twin day, Thursday-Say BOO to drugs-Costumes (can’t cover entire face with paint or mask), Friday-Be picture perfect! Don’t do drugs-Picture day

AP Students:  Please sign up for your AP 2021 exams. This year there will be no cancellation fee so you can get a full refund if you decide not to take the test. Please see Mrs. Perez in the front office to sign up and pay for your exams. The deadline to sign up is Friday, October 30th.

Attention Seniors. Jostens will be on campus taking your announcement and cap and gown orders on Wednesday, November 4th.  We will be set up in the South parking lot from 11 am -4 pm. This may be the only time to order on campus until delivery closer to graduation.  PLEASE order on this day to get group pricing.  You will need to bring your first payment of $100.00 to place your order.  If your order is less than $100.00 you can pay in full. I will have hoodies and T-shirts available when you order.  You can also order online now at Jostens.com. Extra packets are in the main office if you need one or you can print your order forms off and bring them on order day. If you have not yet purchased your class ring, you can order your ring at this time as well.  Design your ring at www.jostens.com, print your order form, and bring it with your other forms.

Attention Juniors. Jostens will be on campus taking your class jewelry orders on Wednesday, November 4th from 11am to 4pm.  We will be set up in the South parking lot. You will need your first payment of at least $75.00 and your order form to place your order. Remember you can print off your order form online at www.jostens.com to speed up the ordering process here at school. 

This year's yearbook is going to be something you will want to have to remember.  Buy your 20-21 yearbook before October 30th and save $10. The 20-21 Yearbooks are on sale now for only $50. Price goes up to $60 October 31st.

Port Lavaca Masonic Lodge is hosting Halloween night on October 29th and 30th from 7pm-12 am.  Also Little Goblin hours are 5pm-7pm and trunk or treat is 5pm-8pm.

Menu- Cheese, pepperoni or peach BBQ chicken pizza, hamburger, chicken burger or spicy chicken burger, chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, gravy, roll, fruits and milk.

Safety tip- If you drive a vehicle, obey all traffic lights and stop signs-come to a complete stop, and never run red lights.
